brought to What I Know For Sure potluck.
What I Know For Sure quarterly
potluck gatherings (alternating between Durham and Carrboro): We invite
you to come and share collective wisdom at our potluck and roundtable
discussion. Each quarter we feature a topic and special guests who can
speak to that topic; you will be asked to share your sageness as well.
Bring a dish to share. Drinks will be provided. Gatherings take place
on Friday nights from 6-9 pm. Stay tuned for information about our next gathering date and topic.

Kia Carscallen reflects during Holding Contradictions workshop.
We also hold a regularly scheduled People of Color Caucus and a regularly scheduled White Caucus for people who have either been through our Dismantling Racism Training
and/or have attended a similar training or workshop. Caucusing is a
time for people of color and white people to meet in separate spaces to
build relationships and community, discuss internalized oppression,
discuss internalized white supremacy, begin healing from the wounds
that racism creates, think strategically about our activism. For more
information about the People of Color Caucus, contact Michelle
at michelle (dot) socialworker (at)
gmail (dot) com;
for more information about the White Caucus, contact Tema at tema(dot)okun(at)nlu(dot)edu.
We also offer facilitation, curriculum development, and other services
related to working effectively with an anti-racist, liberatory lens.
